Reconciliation

Proving that the platform ledger, the payment providers and the game providers all agree about what happened. It is a monthly obligation for any regulated operator, and the volume of manual work it takes is a direct measure of how well the systems underneath are wired.

Ledger, Exactly-once settlement, Locked balance

Part of the Scalara iGaming glossary, written for operators choosing a platform.

What it means for an operator

Discrepancies come from a short list: duplicate settlements after provider retries, crypto and fiat kept in separate books, transfer wallet movements that stranded, and bonus balances merged into real ones.

Scalara removes those by design. Duplicate safe settlement, one ledger in one settlement currency per brand, no player facing transfers, and real, bonus and locked balances reported separately.
