The questions operators actually ask
Licensing, timelines, costs, migration, payments, compliance and support, answered in full rather than deflected into a discovery call.
What this page holds
26 answers across 8 subjects. Every answer is in the page whether or not its panel is open, so a search engine and a reader who cannot use a disclosure both get the whole thing.
If your question is not one of them, the last section on the page is where to send it.
Pick a subject
Each answer is written once and reused wherever the question comes up, so the version on a product page and the version here are the same words. Page level questions elsewhere on the site are different questions, not different answers to these.
Licensing
Yes. That is the Turnkey Platform route. You keep your licence, your regulatory relationships, your payment providers and your operations, and license the platform layer as a private copy that runs on your own infrastructure holding your own data.
We are your technology supplier in that arrangement, not your licensor. Your obligations to your regulator stay entirely with you, and we support them with the platform side evidence you need, including the audit trail and regulator evidence packs.
Quantum Digital Solutions holds a gaming licence issued under the Betting and Gaming Act 2005 of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros, administered by Anjouan Licensing Services Inc. It is scoped to business to consumer gaming activities, and it is the licence White Label brands trade under.
The full statement, the licence number, the validity dates, a link to the public register and a copy of the certificate are on our licensing page. Turnkey operators do not rely on it, because they hold their own.
It covers business to consumer gaming activities, and it is what a White Label brand on our platform trades under. It is not a business to business authorisation, so we never describe ourselves as a licensed platform provider, and it says nothing about any other authority.
If you hold your own licence and take the Turnkey route, our licence does not apply to your operation at all. Which markets you can actually serve is a separate question, decided by your licence and by the rules of each jurisdiction.
White Label, in almost every case. It exists so that an operator without a licence can trade under ours while the brand, the traffic and the player base are being built.
If you intend to hold your own licence eventually, say so during discovery. Both routes run the same platform, so moving later is a commercial and regulatory exercise rather than a rebuild. What we will not do is encourage you into a market that needs an authorisation neither of us holds.
Pricing
Three parts. A one time setup fee, a monthly platform fee covering hosting, updates, the service level agreement and support, and a share of gross gaming revenue that tapers as monthly revenue grows. All three figures are published on our pricing page rather than quoted on request.
They are indicative. Final commercials depend on your target markets, your licence model, your provider mix and your volume. Payment processing fees and game content royalties are charged by those providers and sit outside what we bill.
The rate falls in bands as monthly gross gaming revenue rises, and we treat the taper as marginal: each rate applies only to the revenue inside its own band. Crossing a threshold never reprices the revenue underneath it, so there is no point at which earning slightly more costs you more.
The bands, the rates and a worked example are on the pricing page. If your commercial team reads the taper differently, raise it in discovery, because it is a term we would rather agree explicitly than assume.
Player account management, game aggregation and catalogue synchronisation, the hybrid fiat and crypto wallet with its reconciled ledger, the bonus engine, the compliance tiers, the audit trail and evidence packs, the back office with staff roles and Brand Studio, risk and fraud monitoring, hosting, platform updates, the service level agreement and technical support.
The full list sits on the pricing page next to the figure itself, so the two cannot drift apart. Payment processing fees and game royalties are billed by those providers, not by us.
Four categories of software we do not provide: customer relationship management and campaign automation, a customer data platform, a business intelligence suite, and affiliate management. Scalara does not replace a dedicated CRM, CDP or BI suite, and we say so on every pricing surface.
Beyond software, the fees your payment providers charge and the royalties you agree with game studios are yours. We publish the exclusions because a comparison that ignores them is not one you can build a budget from.
Timelines
It depends on what you are moving and how clean it is. The platform side is not usually the constraint.
The work is in the data: player records, balances, bonus states, verification history and the audit record behind them, plus whatever your current contract says about extraction and notice. We start with an assessment that establishes what exists, what can move and what has to be rebuilt, then give you a schedule from that rather than before it.
Hours. Once an application is approved and identity checks have cleared, the platform creates the environment, wires the wallet, connects the game catalogue, applies the brand and hands over the back office without anyone assembling it by hand.
That is the clock we control, and the only one we will put a number against. Provisioning takes hours. Getting to a live, trading casino also depends on licence approval, payment onboarding and content agreements, which we sequence with you.
Longer than provisioning, and honestly variable. Three things sit outside the platform: licence approval, payment onboarding and content agreements. Each has its own timetable, set by a regulator, a payment provider or a studio, and none of them moves faster because the platform is ready.
What we can do is start them in parallel with provisioning and tell you where each one stands. You will get a sequenced plan in discovery. You will not get a single number that implies we control all three.
A demo environment can be provisioned in hours. Before that, eight recordings of the real back office sit in our demo centre, ungated and with no form in front of them, covering provisioning, branding, the catalogue, bonuses, the player record, deposits, the audit trail and operator onboarding.
Most buying teams watch those first, then book a call with specific questions. Book a demo when you want the environment itself and someone to walk it with you.
Migration
Yes, and it is a normal path. Both routes run the same platform, so the move is about the licence, the payment relationships and the commercial terms rather than about rebuilding the product.
You will need your own licence in the markets you trade in, your own payment agreements, and a plan for the player communications that a change of operating entity requires. We scope that with you rather than treating it as a switch we can flip on a date.
Payments
Crypto deposits run through NOWPayments. A player pays in a supported asset, the processor converts it at the rate quoted at that moment, and the balance credits when the network confirms the transaction rather than when it is broadcast. Everything settles into one currency per brand, so you reconcile a single book.
Withdrawals, by any method, pass a staffed review with the player's compliance profile shown next to the amount. Which assets and which markets are available is agreed during discovery.
Fiat through MiFinity and crypto through NOWPayments, with both landing in the same reconciled ledger, against the same player, under the same compliance gate.
Which specific methods and assets you offer, and in which markets, is decided with you rather than assumed, because it depends on your licence and on each provider's own coverage. Payment onboarding also helps determine when you can trade, so we start it early and report on it honestly.
Compliance
Internally, on a zero trust basis. Every internal system authenticates on every request, every component holds only the permissions its job needs, and nothing inside the platform is implicitly trusted. Each brand has its own separated login and account system.
Every action by a player, a staff member or a system is recorded in a tamper evident audit trail. Staff access is role based, down to individual permissions, and permission changes are themselves audited events. The security framework is maintained with Space Admins.
Identity and source of funds checks through Sumsub, AML screening that runs automatically after approval, a five tier trust model deciding deposit and withdrawal eligibility per player, responsible gambling states built into the account core, a tamper evident audit trail covering player, staff and system actions, and one click regulator evidence packs built on that trail.
None of it is a paid extra. It is included because a platform that treats compliance as an upsell is a platform you will eventually replace.
It depends on the route, and it is worth settling early. On the Turnkey Platform route you hold the licence and the player relationship, so you are the controller and we act as your processor for the platform.
On White Label the picture is shared, because the brand trades under our licence and we carry obligations of our own as the licensee. Our data protection page sets out the roles, the sub-processors and the transfer position, and the contract states it rather than leaving it implied.
Support
TUGI AI is the AI player support layer from our partner Tugi Tark. It answers the questions that generate most support volume: payments, bonuses, know your customer checks, account verification, and the state of a request already in progress.
Tugi Tark publish that it is trained on more than ten million real iGaming support tickets, that it is positioned to resolve up to eighty per cent of player tickets, and that it covers more than two hundred and forty nine languages. Those are figures published by Tugi Tark for TUGI AI, not measured by Scalara.
Technical support and the service level agreement are part of the monthly platform fee, alongside hosting and platform updates. Every operator has a named account contact, and our head of account management owns that relationship.
Because every deployment runs the same codebase, a fix reaches your environment from the same release as everyone else's rather than waiting for a bespoke patch. What we do not provide is a marketing team, a CRM operation or an affiliate programme.
Product
Not today. Sportsbook is in active development, and we will not sell it as though it were available. We have a head of architecture leading that work, and we would rather tell you where it stands than let a roadmap line imply a product.
If a sportsbook is essential to your launch in the next few months, we are the wrong platform for that part, and we will say so in the first conversation. If it is a later requirement, ask us for the current position.
There is no fixed cap in the product. Each brand is a full deployment with its own player database, its own login and account system, its own back office and its own creative library, so adding one is a provisioning exercise rather than a configuration flag.
The practical limit is commercial. Each brand carries its own setup and monthly fee, and each needs its own licence position, payment routes and content agreements. Groups running several brands are a normal case, not an exception.
No. Harm-First Orchestration is in active development. It describes a decision order we are building, in which player harm and safer gambling questions are answered first, then fraud and abuse, then compliance, and only then commercial optimisation.
We describe it as design intent because that is what it is. What ships today are the parts you can inspect: responsible gambling states in the account core, the tiered compliance model, compliance gated transactions, and the audit trail behind all of them.
Four things, stated plainly because a cost comparison that hides them is useless. We do not replace customer relationship management and campaign automation. We do not replace a customer data platform. We do not replace a business intelligence suite. We do not provide affiliate management.
If you buy those today, keep budgeting for them. Our cost calculator has them switched off by default for exactly that reason, and switching one on adds cost to the assembled stack only.
White Label means you trade under our licence. The licence, identity checks, payment orchestration, the platform, the games and the back office come as one package, and your brand launches inside it.
Turnkey Platform means you keep your own licence, your own payments and your own operations, and license the platform layer as a private copy you run yourself. The first route suits operators without a licence who want to start quickly. The second suits licensed operators replacing a platform without rebuilding the rest of the business.
The studios named on our game providers page reach lobbies through aggregation, which means one integration rather than a separate build per supplier.
Availability is not universal and should not be. What a brand can offer depends on its licence and on each studio's own territory rules, so the workable catalogue for your markets is established with you during discovery. The Games screen then shows the difference between what is available and what your brand displays.
