What it means for an operator
The RNG decides which outcome happens. The game's maths decides which outcomes are possible and how often they pay. That is why two games with equally sound RNGs can have very different return to player and volatility: the randomness is the same kind, the pay tables are not.
In aggregated content the RNG runs on the studio's servers, not on the casino platform. The platform receives the result, settles the bet and records it. On our platform every bet and win is recorded exactly once, even when a studio's connection retries, which is a guarantee about the ledger rather than a statement about randomness.
Independent test laboratories assess RNGs against published standards, and many regulators require that testing before a game can be offered in their market. Provably fair is a different mechanism, common in crypto casinos, that lets a player check a single outcome after the bet has settled.
