How NOWPayments is wired into the platform

Crypto payment processing. Deposits arrive over major crypto rails, convert at the quoted rate and credit the wallet on confirmation.

Who owns what
Scalara owns the integration and the record it writes. NOWPayments owns its own service, under its own terms.

What the integration covers

The capabilities this connection actually carries. Anything NOWPayments sells that is not on this list is not part of what you get here.

The Deposits screen with running totals for deposited, failed, paid and net amounts, above a table breaking finished deposits down by the pay currency they arrived in.
Payments
  • Crypto deposits over major rails

The player pays in a supported asset and the processor converts it into the brand's settlement currency.

  • Credit on network confirmation

The balance moves when the transaction confirms, not when it is broadcast.

  • One settlement currency in the books

Whatever a player pays with, the brand reports and reconciles in a single currency.

NOWPayments is a cryptocurrency payment processor. It accepts a payment in the asset a customer holds, converts it, and settles to the merchant in the currency the merchant asked for.

Inside Scalara

NOWPayments is the crypto rail behind the hybrid wallet. A player pays in a supported coin, the processor converts at the rate quoted at that moment, and the platform credits the player's balance once the network confirms the transaction rather than when it is first broadcast. Everything settles into one currency per brand, so an operator taking a dozen assets still reconciles a single book. The deposits screen in the back office states this plainly, including how price movement between payment and confirmation is handled and whether the brand adds anything on top, because those are the two questions that otherwise surface as disputes weeks later. Crypto deposits pass the same compliance gate as fiat: the wallet checks the player's standing before the balance moves.

The problem it removes

Crypto is usually bolted on to a casino platform as a side channel, with its own totals, its own reconciliation and its own set of edge cases around exchange rate movement. That is how operators end up with two ledgers and a monthly argument about which one is right. Running crypto through the same wallet, the same ledger and the same compliance gate as fiat removes the second book entirely.

What stays with you

Which assets you accept, in which markets, and under what terms are your decisions, taken with your own regulatory position in mind. The processor's fees sit outside the Scalara fee. Crypto acceptance is also a licensing question in several jurisdictions, so it is one of the things assessed during discovery rather than assumed.

Questions about NOWPayments

Crypto deposits run through NOWPayments. A player pays in a supported asset, the processor converts it at the rate quoted at that moment, and the balance credits when the network confirms the transaction rather than when it is broadcast. Everything settles into one currency per brand, so you reconcile a single book.

Withdrawals, by any method, pass a staffed review with the player's compliance profile shown next to the amount. Which assets and which markets are available is agreed during discovery.

They are not reconciled against each other, because they were never separate books. Both rails credit the same ledger, in one settlement currency per brand, against the same player record.

Inside that ledger, real, bonus and locked balances stay distinct and are reported separately. Bet settlement is duplicate safe, so a game provider retrying a message does not produce a second entry. The month end position is one figure with one history behind it.
