Jackpot pooling

Contributing a slice of every qualifying stake into a shared prize that grows until someone wins it. The pool can be local to one operator or network wide across many, which changes both the size the jackpot reaches and who carries the liability.

What it means for an operator

The distinction operators miss is liability. In a network pool the studio or aggregator usually carries the prize and the operator contributes. In a local pool the operator carries it, and needs to account for a growing obligation that could be won at any moment.

Read the contribution rate and the liability terms before merchandising a jackpot heavily. It is an accounting question, not a marketing one.
